Domaine des Hirondelles is exceptionally well-located in Aude, South-West France in the beautiful wine-producing village of Capendu. The Aude is one of four departments in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and takes its name from the river Aude which runs through the lower part of the village.
This central location between Toulouse, Beziers, Narbonne and Limoux makes the house a perfect holiday base for exploring the glorious region of the Languedoc. Carcassonne is our nearest main town is just 20 minutes away and is served by a regional airport and a train station.

By Car
Our nearest autoroute exit is on the A61 between Carcassonne and Narbonne – Exit 24. We will send you detailed driving directions to the house with your booking confirmation.
From the Channel Tunnel and the main ferry ports of Calais, Dieppe, Caen and Le Havre, it is approximately a 9-10 hour drive via the autoroutes, not including comfort breaks. If you are navigating around Paris during peak hours allow a little longer.
Car Hire
Car hire is available at all the local airports and at Carcassonne railway station. We advise you to book your car rental in advance for guaranteed availability and cheaper prices. Many airlines offer discounts on car hire prices when you book your flight and car rental together.
By Train
The French high-speed TGV rail network is an excellent way to travel, linking Paris directly to Montpellier in under 4 hours. The SNCF train network also links all the main towns listed above.
